Membership in any Toastmaster club results in new members being put onto the schedule. This educational process starts with less demanding roles like greeting at the door (where new greeters learn members names and become known to their fellow members) to more demanding roles like “introduce the chair” where the introducer is expected to have interviewed the chairperson so as to have something interesting to say in the introduction and ends with speaking and chairing roles later on.
